Terms of Service

1.Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using Compatra ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App. We may update these Terms at any time; continued use constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2.Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Compatra. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
3.Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it as necessary. One person per account; shared or duplicate accounts are not permitted.
4.Community Guidelines
Compatra is built on respect. You agree not to harass, threaten, impersonate, or deceive other users. Hate speech, spam, solicitation, and sexually explicit content are prohibited. Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.
5.Content You Provide
You retain ownership of content you post but grant Compatra a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content within the App. You represent that you have the right to share any content you upload and that it does not violate any third-party rights.
6.AI Features & Personality Data
Compatra uses AI (powered by Anthropic's Claude) to analyze personality responses, generate compatibility scores, and provide features like Date Sparks and icebreakers. Your personality training answers are processed to build your compatibility profile. This data is used solely to improve your matching experience and is never sold to third parties.
7.Personality Data
Your responses to personality training scenarios are stored securely and used to compute compatibility dimensions. You may request deletion of your personality data at any time by deleting your account or contacting us. Aggregate, anonymized personality data may be used for research and product improvement.
8.Subscriptions & Payments
Compatra offers free and premium tiers. Premium subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Refunds are handled per the respective app store's refund policy.
9.Virtual Items (Glows)
Glows are virtual items purchased or earned within the App. They have no cash value and are non-transferable. Glows cannot be refunded, exchanged, or redeemed outside the App. We reserve the right to modify Glow pricing and availability.
10.Safety Disclaimer — No Background Checks
Compatra does not conduct criminal background checks on its users. We do not verify the identity, background, or character of any user. You are solely responsible for your own safety when interacting with other users, both online and in person. Always meet in public places and inform someone you trust of your plans.
11.Content Moderation
We use a combination of automated tools and human review to enforce our Community Guidelines. We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts at our sole discretion. Reports from users are reviewed and acted upon in accordance with our internal policies.
12.DMCA & Intellectual Property
If you believe content on Compatra infringes your copyright, submit a DMCA takedown notice to legal@compatra.app with: (a) identification of the copyrighted work, (b) identification of the infringing material, (c) your contact information, (d) a statement of good faith belief, and (e) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate.
13.Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bloom Mama LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of your use of the App, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
14.Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that matches will lead to compatible relationships, dates, or any particular outcome. Use of the App is at your own risk.
15.Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bloom Mama LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
16.Arbitration & Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by JAMS in Los Angeles County, California. You agree to waive your right to a jury trial and to participate in class action lawsuits. Small claims court actions are exempt from this arbitration provision.
